The Inventory unit has not been specific for the Item in AX 2012

Error:

The Inventory unit has not been specific for the Item.

Reason:

                When you create a Released Product from Product Information Management >> Common >> Released product using this way is the process.

For making the transaction need to identify the Inventory UOM (Unit of Measurement). So make sure to update this Inventory Unit on the specific Item.

Solution:

Edit the Item and go to Manage Inventory >> Inventory >> Unit

                Mention the unit which is belongs to the Inventory Transactions for the specific released Product.

Now you can make the entry without getting this error while making the Inventory transactions like BOM, Inventory Adjustment, and etc.,
