Create new Client Configuration in AX 2012

You are going to install the AX server or client machine in your system, you need to configure the client. Once it has been done then only you can able to access the AX in your system. Let’s see about Client configuration on your system.

Sometimes it may will show you the error like “The specified client configuration does not contain valid WCF settings”. In case if your configuration is having some wrong configurations also it may show like this message.

To configure the client, we need to follow the below steps.

Open Administrator tools >> Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Configuration

Run with administrator option, you can see the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Configuration screen on your system like below screen.

Click the Manage button there select the Create configuration option

Add the server name in first field

Mention the instance name if you want to be

Add the TCP/IP port and WSDL port numbers which you are going to add as a default one

Then click OK button to complete

You can see the popup like WCF services hosted by the AOS click ok, your WCF has been configured on the mentioned server.

Finally click the Reference configuration button and Configure services

Then finally check the note pad file on the AX file, here you can see the service name, TCP/IP port number and WSDL numbers are also change here in the notepad.

Now your Client configuration is created
